Who would win in a fight between Galactus and Thanos?
This week’s battle is between Thanos, The evil Titan, and Galactus, the life bringer. Now, as usual, we need some ground rules. It is a tough fight to make even. But the fairest thing to do is to say that Thanos does not have the Infinity Gauntlet. But he does have a week to prepare for this meeting. Moreover, Galactus will be his Life bringer version. But he does not have any preparation time.
Now on with the fight, as always, start with the origins of these two big hitters. Begin with Thanos.
Short Overview of Thanos
Thanos was a member of the Eternals, born on the planet of Titan. However, he had Deviant syndrome, which turned his skin purple and made him grow large, leading his mother to kill him. Despite all this, he was surprisingly mild-mannered and was disgusted by the idea of killing another creature. But slowly, his obsession with death grew, starting as a picture of dead animals eventually leading to the slaughter of many people of Titan, with the urging of his mysterious female confidant.
After killing and dissecting his mother, he worked as a pirate for some in the hope of finding who he was at the time. Later, however, he accepted his murderous ways, again meeting with the mysterious girl who helped him find his inner murderer, whom he loved. He augmented his powers and tried to prove his worth to his love, who turned out to be none other than Lady Death. And he continues to prove his love for her by murdering countless living creatures to this day.
Short Overview of Galactus
It was now moving to Galactus. Galactus has initially been named Galan. A humanoid born on the planet Taa, in the previous incarnation of the universe, that is to say, the sixth incarnation. However, as his universe began collapsing in the Big Crunch, he proposed that the remaining survivors of the Taa go out in a blaze of glory. He said to the survivors that fly their ships into the heart of the Cosmic Egg. They killed everyone except Galan, who strangely felt filled with energy. Galan became the Devourer of the world and was known as Galactus. He ended up in the seventh iteration of the universe and Earth-616. Galactus incubated in his starship for Millenia before discovering a need to feed, first on the barren planet and later on planets with life. A quest that saw him take many years over the years.
He turned away from his world-devouring in recent years after completing his incubation and emerging as a Life bringer Galactus.
What are the Powers of Thanos?
Now we know where he came from? But what are his powers and capabilities? As we know, Thanos is one of the Eternal of Titans. He already has a mighty group. They created Eternals over a million years ago by Celestials. Furthermore, Celestials experimented with human genes to allow them to manipulate cosmic energy. Thanos has increased his impressive cosmic abilities and physical powers through bionic amplification. In addition to this, after being killed, Lady Death brought him back to life even more powerful than before, which certainly helps.
Now, with the infinity gauntlet, his powers become pretty much infinite. But he won’t have the gauntlet in this fight, so that we will disregard it now. Because without a gauntlet, Thanos still has some incredible powers. He has the usual strength and speed. He is insanely intelligent and super durable. Thanos can withstand attacks that would have destroyed a planet at point-blank range. He can teleport things with his link to his Techno-mystical transport chair. Furthermore, it can manipulate matter and has powerful pathetic abilities. Thanos can also make impressive and powerful clones of himself, called Thanos that he can make to do his bidding.
Usually, these abilities make him one of the strongest villains in the Marvel Universe. But they may not be enough to defeat the cosmic threat Galactus.
What are the main Powers of Galactus?
Now we know where Galactus came from? But what is he capable of?
Galactus powers are just ridiculous. He is better than Thanos. Moreover, he is more robust, faster, more durable, more competent, and more cosmic. He can also manipulate matter in any way he pleases, allowing him to build and destroy things quickly and even restructure living things. Even if Thanos manages to hurt him, his Vita kinesis allows him to heal back up. He has many other relatively obscure powers, but there’s no time to discuss. By making the long story shorter, he won’t use those powers in this fight.
Galactus Versus Thanos, who would win?
We know our competitors, so now it’s time for the fight. In this fight, the preparation time will be vital to Thanos. While he is pretty powerful on his own, if he tries to go toe to toe with Galactus without the Infinity Gauntlet, he will probably have a wrong time. Let’s see if he can come up with a way to defeat the superior power of the Galactus.
As usual, Galactus is out for his morning walk. Thanos hits the Galactus, but then Galactus hits on Thonas’ stomach. Thanos falls to the ground, dead. But then, Galactus saw another opponent behind him. Out steps Thanos, holding the Ultimate Nullifier. It turns out the first Thanos was a clone. He had managed to procure the Ultimate Nullifier from Galactus’s ship, with the ability to obliterate anything, “Any Last words, big guy?” Galactus didn’t give any answer. But the next moment, the ultimate Nullifier is back in his possession.
Thanos didn’t realize that Galactus could call it to him at will so much for that plan. Thanos looked around desperately for any other options, but not to avail Thanos did not get better. And so, the winner of the fight is Galactus.
Concluding Lines
Well, there we have it. It seems that even with the preparation time, Thanos doesn’t have the power to deal with Galactus in this prime. No doubt, If Thanos had the gauntlet, he might win the battle. But a week isn’t enough time to find all the necessary parts.
