Is Battlefield 4 cross-gen?
EA and DICE have revealed an option to carry over between the next-gen and current-gen versions of the forthcoming Battlefield 4.
That permits all benefits, stats assignments, unlocks and ranks players enjoy to transfer from the version currently available on Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 to the next-gen versions of Playstation 4 and Xbox One. The only restriction is that you can transfer them from Playstation 3 to Playstation 4 and from Xbox 360 to Xbox One. It’s not possible to switch back and forth from Playstation into Xbox or reverse. EA issued a statement explaining the reason behind this decision:
If you play either Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3, We wish to make your move to the next generation consoles as easy as possible. It is why we inform the loyal Battlefield community that the time and effort that you invest in building the Battlefield 4 stats will carry across when you upgrade from Xbox 360 to Xbox One and also from your PlayStation 3 to PlayStation 4.

The game will be announced in the coming days. with a release scheduled for GamesCom this week. Battlefield 4 will be available on October 29 to Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and PC and will have a later time frame on the Playstation 4 and Xbox One.
Gameplay as well as Campaign
The game’s head-up display (HUD) comprises two rectangular shapes. The lower left-hand corner displays an encapsulated map and compass for navigation, as well as a simple objective warning above it. The lower right is home to an ammo counter in small size and a health meter. The upper right-hand corner displays death notifications of the players who are playing. In Windows the Windows version, the upper left has a chat window when playing multiplayer. The mini-map, along with the main screen, displays symbols representing three types of people: blue for allies, green for teammates, and orange for the enemy. The same applies to all interactions in the battleground. Battlefield 4’s options allow blind players to change the color indicators on the screen to deuteranomaly, tritanomaly and protanomaly.
Customization of weapons is a lot and is encouraged. Primary, secondary, and melee weapons can be customized with attachments to weapons and camouflage ‘skins’. Many weapons also come with the default settings for different firing styles (e.g. semi-automatic and automatic fire), which allows the player to change their settings to suit their surroundings. They can “spot” the targets (marking their position concerning the team of the player) during the single-player Campaign (a first for the Battlefield franchise) and also play multiplayer. The game’s bullet-dropping system has been significantly enhanced, forcing the player to change the way they play medium to long-distance combat. Furthermore, players can use increased combat abilities, including the ability to counter melee attacks from the front, standing or crouching, firing with their sidearms while swimming, or diving underwater to avoid detection. The standard combat capabilities are in use, such as reloading while sprinting, unlimited sprint standing prone, and vaulting.
Campaign setting in Battlefield 4
The single-player game has a few distinct features that are distinct from those of the primary multiplayer match. Most of the time, players are required to traverse mini-sandboxes and sometimes use vehicles such as boats or tanks to explore the surroundings. In the player character’s role, Recker, the player can use two only in campaign modes, such as the Engage command and the binocular for tactical use. The Engage command instructs Recker’s teammates and other units of the same group to strike any enemies within Recker’s range of vision. The tactical binocular functions similarly to a laser-designator, but in terms of how it permits the user to recognize enemies and friendly groups, weapons, and explosives and targets on the field. The user can draw them out without the visor to identify enemies, which makes it easier to identify their fellow teammates. At some moment, Recker will briefly lose his tactical visor and force him to use only their Engage command to guide his teammates to take on a small number of enemies.
The Campaign has assignments that require specific actions. You can also unlock weapons that can be helpful for multiplayer after completion. The collection of weapons is back and are accompanied by dog tags that can be used in multiplayer. Weapon crates can be found on every level, allowing players to collect ammo and switch between weapons. The crates contain the default weapons, collectable ones can be utilized at any time they are acquired, and level-specific weapons can be used after the mission has been accomplished by gaining enough points within the level.
